Having the opportunity to share the mint&rose project with our customers, colleagues, friends and family is the greatest gift that 2022, our tenth anniversary year, has left us.
Thank you for making it possible, we will fight with energy and passion to continue to keep our friendship in 2023!
History
2012
THE MINT&ROSE ADVENTURE BEGINS IN LOS ANGELES
The mint&rose adventure begins in Los Angeles., with lots of work and effort behind. It is a first year of a lot of paperwork and frequent visits to suppliers.
The first product we started to develop was the espadrille. At that time it was rare to find them in the United States, and the ones that arrived were mostly classic models, so Monti decided to start from that idea and give a twist to the design. We attended our first fashion tradeshow in LA: September 2012.
2013
OFFICE IN SPAIN, FIRST COLLECTION, AND FEATURE IN ELLE
In 2013 there were already four of us in the team, and worked remotely between the EEUU and Spain, where we opened our HQ.
Our first collection was composed of the espadrille styles Santorini and Saint Tropez in dierent colors.
Berta Bernad was our first campaign model. And that year we had our first press appearance in ELLE magazine, June 2013.
2014
OFFICES IN SAN DIEGO, ANTHROPOLOGIE PARTNERSHIP, AND FIRST MAJOR CAMPAIGN
Year full of firsts: we opened the offce in San Diego, we attended international trade shows in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Berlin, where our collection was very well received.
We started working with Anthropologie, with presence in 30 of their best doors in the EEUU. - At the tradeshows we managed to close important distribution deals in Japan, Korea, Australia and Greece.
The gorgeous actress Greta Fernandez is our campaign model, our first big campaign!
2015
ONLINE STORE, WE LAND IN UBRIQUE TO MANUFACTURE HANDBAGS
We say hello to the digital world with the launch of our online store.
We met Paco, our beloved handbag manufacturer from Ubrique, where we started to design and produce all our handbags and small leather goods.
We were gradually expanding our portfolio of products designed for the quality-conscious woman who wants to consume less but better.
It was in 2015 when we started working with the Panama distributor. Even better, the team in Spain continued to grow, so we moved our offce to a bigger space.
2016
FIRST POP-UP STORE IN MADRID AND FIRST WINTER COLLECTION
We expanded our distribution channels by opening our first summer pop up store in Madrid, which soon became a permanent store thanks to our amazing clientele.
We launched the very first winter collection this year, with two sneakers of different styles and some ballet flats.
María Villalón Puras, whom we remember with great affection, becomes our campaign image.
2017
OFFICES IN NEW YORK, ADRIATICO COLLECTION, AND WELCOME GABRIEL!
Monti moves from west to east, so the San Diego office moves to New York.
We launched our most complete summer collection yet: Adriático. The campaign was shot in Marbella with Irina Isasia in front of the cameras - the photos turned out amazing!
By the end of the year, Monti welcomes her son Gabriel into the world, she steps away momentarily to get to have quality time with her newborn and learn how to combine her two passions.
2018
POP-UP STORE IN BARCELONA, WE RELOCATION WITHIN MADRID, MADE IN PROJECT, AND HELLO BOTÍN SOL!
We opened a pop-up store in Barcelona where we stayed for a year.
Meanwhile in Madrid we moved to the neighboring street of Argensola 15 looking for a larger space in which to continue oering the best experience.
This year we created the MADE IN project through which we proposed to bring to the public the know-how of Spanish craftsmanship through a series of videos and images in which you can immerse yourself in the handmade manufacturing process of any of our products.
Guiomar Puerta was our campaign model in the shooting we did at the emblematic Marbella Club Hotel.
Sol, our most iconic bootie was designed and launched this year.
2019
PETITE MAFALDA FRIENDS, NEW YORK POP-UP STORE, AND THANK YOU ESPADRILLES MENORCA!
We made our first collaboration with our dearest friends from Petite Mafalda.
Nueva York welcomed us with open arms and we set up our summer Pop Up in Nolita.
2019 was the year of presentation of Menorca espadrille, our most sought after wedge to date.
2020
WE OPEN STORE IN VALENCIA, POP-UP STORE IN FLORIDA, AND LAUNCH CARE AND BEAUTY LINE.
One of our big projects of 2020 and that due to the health situation was delayed was the opening of our Valencia store.
We crossed the ocean again, opening a pop-up in West Palm Beach Florida at the end of the year, always a pleasure to bring the mint&rose experience to the American market!
And with all the time for reflection we had during the first half of the year, it was clear to us that the important thing was to stop, breathe and gather strength for whatever was to come. To take care of each other and be closer than ever. That's why we presented our CARE capsule, a line composed of 5 personal care products.
2021
NEW YORK POP-UP, SECOND STORE IN MADRID, GALERIES LAFAYETTE, THE RETREAT AND STONE ADVENTURE.
Year of openings: we opened a pop-up in Hudson Yards (New York) and in Madrid we opened our second store (Ayala 26, Madrid).
We organized our two first retreats (one in Madrid and the other in the wonderful Ribera del Duero area). With the aim of building community, we
bring together people with similar interests and a proposal of different plans.
STONE and mint&rose join forces to launch a mini collection of cashmere sweaters and scarves from Mongolia.
In addition, from September 2021 you can find a selection of mint&rose styles in Galeries Lafayette. We are delighted to start our adventure in this
market with the French department store par excellence.
2022
WE ARE IN 'EL CORTE INGLÉS', CHOSEN BY RUNWAYS, AND SWIMWEAR COLLECTION.
We started a new project with our own corners in El Corte Inglés.
We share catwalk with designers we admire (Fabio Encinar, Sophie et Voila and Corsicana).
During the summer of 2022 we launched with the ROBIN team our first limited edition of swimsuits inspired by the summers of the 50s.
And of course, it has been a year to celebrate, as we celebrated 10 years of trajectory. A date that we wanted to celebrate twice. In an incredible dinner at The Social Hub with friends and collaborators who have accompanied us on this path; and also with the team that has made it possible by preparing an authentic Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchens of Fuera de Carta.
We cannot close the year without making special mention of our third retreat, but the first: WOMEN IN BUSINESS, where we gathered friends and businesswomen from all over Spain at the wonderful hotel Fuente Aceña. We set aside a couple of days to disconnect, enrich ourselves with new knowledge and help create new connections and synergies.
